In my thorough research and personal investigation of Rakuten Bank, I found it challenging to obtain clear, transparent information regarding typical spreads for major forex pairs like EUR/USD on a standard account. Unlike many established forex brokers, Rakuten Bank does not appear to publish detailed trading conditions—particularly spreads—on accessible sources or platforms. For me as a trader, this lack of openness immediately raises red flags, especially since competitive and fixed spreads are a decisive factor in long-term trading costs. Moreover, according to all available data, Rakuten Bank is not regulated by any recognized financial authority for forex brokerage, which adds significant risk and leaves me without the consumer protections I expect from regulated entities. This is especially relevant for spreads, as a lack of oversight means the broker could change trading conditions at any time or enact wide spreads during high volatility, potentially impacting my trading effectiveness and risk management. Ultimately, until Rakuten Bank provides transparent and verifiable information on typical spreads—especially for something as standard as EUR/USD—I would urge extreme caution. For my trading, I strongly prefer brokers who are fully regulated and fully disclose all trading costs up front.
