From my own experience and based on the information I’ve gathered, uSMART Group doesn’t fit the usual mold of an ECN broker with the standard “per lot” commission structure that many forex traders might be used to. Instead, their approach is different. uSMART focuses on stocks, options, and some forex, and doesn’t offer accounts categorized as “ECN” or “raw spread” types like you see with MT4/MT5 brokers. All trading is conducted through their proprietary uSMART App, not MetaTrader, and commission structures depend on the specific product rather than on a lot-based forex model. For instance, when it comes to US stocks, I pay a commission of $0.003 per share and a platform fee of $0.005 per share, with set minimum order charges. There isn’t a direct “per lot” commission for forex trading or accounts marketed as raw spread/ECN, and there’s no access to popular ECN infrastructure. In my opinion, this reflects their primary focus on equity and derivative trading, alongside some forex exposure, but not in the classic spot forex ECN sense. As a risk-conscious trader, I always emphasize verifying fee structures on the broker’s official site before trading. Commission methods at uSMART are comparatively transparent for stocks, but less so for spot forex. For those seeking true ECN, raw spread, or lot-based commission accounts, uSMART may not be the right fit based on my thorough review.
