When I examine DORMAN TRADING as a trader focused on risk management and transparency, one thing becomes clear: the broker’s WikiFX profile does not disclose whether their spreads are fixed or variable. Given that DORMAN TRADING only offers futures trading—not spot forex—spread behavior is typically dictated by the underlying futures markets themselves, which are known for their variable bid/ask spreads. In my own futures experience, spreads tend to widen during periods of market volatility, especially around economic data releases or major news events. This is a fundamental characteristic of exchange-traded futures contracts, where liquidity can thin out and market makers seek to protect themselves from rapid price swings. Since DORMAN TRADING’s information on fees, spreads, and execution is limited and their regulatory status is labeled as “unverified,” I would exercise heightened caution. For me, the absence of detailed spread and cost disclosures makes it difficult to reliably anticipate execution conditions during stressful market periods. In the absence of explicit assurances, I would expect spreads to be variable and to behave similarly to other futures brokers—typically widening unpredictably during heightened news volatility. Ultimately, I would be wary and seek more clarity before committing significant capital to this broker.
