In my experience reviewing CLC, I encountered a significant drawback regarding information transparency—specifically, there is no clear disclosure about whether CLC offers fixed or variable spreads. As a trader, this omission is concerning because understanding spread structure is essential to risk and cost management, especially when volatility increases during major news events. Without explicit details on their spread model, it’s impossible for me to verify how tight or wide spreads can become in critical trading periods, which can directly impact any trading strategy I might deploy. Generally, with most brokers, variable spreads tend to widen during market volatility or news releases, while fixed spreads may be subject to requotes, slippage, or hidden costs. Given the lack of disclosure from CLC, I have no meaningful way to assess if their spreads behave transparently or are prone to sudden, unfavorable changes. Combined with user complaints regarding withdrawal issues and negative exposures in the public domain, this lack of clarity on spreads makes me extremely cautious. For my own trading, I personally would not commit funds to a broker unless I received straightforward, reliable information about their spread policy and saw consistent, trustworthy behavior during stress periods in the market.
