In fact, upon reviewing their entire offering, GMCU appears to be a traditional banking institution rather than a forex broker as traders would typically expect. They provide standard banking products such as loans, savings, and transaction accounts—but crucially, there is no mention of a dedicated forex trading platform or live trading account structure targeting forex traders. The available accounts are standard personal or savings accounts tailored for everyday banking needs. GMCU does offer a mobile banking app for managing these accounts, but I could not find evidence of any genuine trading platform or demo account option. Because GMCU is not actually set up as a brokerage for trading forex or CFDs, there is no published minimum deposit requirement relating to live trading accounts. As a trader who values regulatory clarity and transparent fee structures, I found this lack of information concerning—especially when combined with their “Exceeded” regulatory license status and medium-risk warning flags. For anyone specifically seeking a broker for online trading, it would be prudent to treat GMCU as a conventional credit union, not as a viable platform for typical trading activities. I recommend extreme caution and would personally seek out brokers that clearly define minimum deposit amounts and offer purpose-built trading environments.
