As someone with a strong background in trading, especially in the forex and indices space, I pay close attention to the full scope of a broker’s trading costs and available instruments before allocating any capital. Based on my direct investigation, BullionVault currently focuses exclusively on physical precious metals—namely gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. They offer these via allocated storage, and all their commissions, storage charges, and fee structures are tightly centered around these products. There’s no mention or functionality around index products such as the US100 (NASDAQ 100). For those considering a position in index products, it’s critical to understand that BullionVault is not designed for that purpose. Aside from not being regulated—which I consider a significant risk in itself—they provide no instruments related to equity indices, and thus do not have trading costs, spreads, or swap rates for products like the US100. All their publicly disclosed costs relate to metals trading: commissions start at 0.5% and can decrease with larger volume, with specific storage fees per metal. In my view, anyone looking for transparency, robust cost structures, and broad product access for indices would need to look elsewhere. For bullion exposure, BullionVault’s cost transparency and structure can be carefully analyzed, but for index trading, the platform is simply not relevant or suitable. Before committing funds, I always recommend verifying a broker’s asset list and fee schedule, especially when regulatory protection is absent.
