Over my years in this industry, I’ve learned that such accounts—intended to comply with Sharia law by eliminating overnight interest—are usually described explicitly in broker documentation due to their significance for certain clients. However, BBH’s public service descriptions focus on institutional services, custody, fund solutions, and operational FX services, with no specific mention of retail swap-free or Islamic accounts. In my experience, the absence of clear disclosure about Islamic account availability is something I treat with caution, especially with a broker displaying notable risk warnings and recent client complaints regarding fund withdrawals and transparency. A regulated presence in Hong Kong is notable, but an “exceeded” license status in the UK, combined with client allegations of being unable to access funds or being asked for unusual withdrawals fees, makes me extra vigilant. For traders who specifically require Islamic account features, it is critical to seek direct and documented confirmation from the broker and consider the reported client experience and regulatory standing before proceeding. Without clear, trustworthy evidence that BBH provides a swap-free option, I would personally not assume such an account is available.
