As someone who has carefully evaluated TradeStation’s account funding options, I want to be transparent about what I’ve observed. Based on the platform’s outlined deposit and withdrawal procedures, TradeStation currently does not support cryptocurrency deposits for any type of account—including both standard brokerage and IRA accounts. My own due diligence included reviewing the listed methods, such as wire transfers, ACH, checks, equities transfers, and international deposits, and nowhere is crypto explicitly permitted as a funding method. For me, this is a significant limitation, especially since some trading platforms now accept Bitcoin, USDT, or similar digital assets for account funding or withdrawals. TradeStation’s restriction may be rooted in regulatory uncertainty and their own desire to maintain strict oversight of incoming funds. In my experience, brokerages that avoid crypto deposits usually do so to align with compliance standards and to minimize issues around the source and traceability of client funds. To be cautious, I always recommend that traders confirm funding methods directly and regularly, as brokerage policies do change over time. But right now, if having the flexibility to deposit with cryptocurrencies is important for your trading setup, TradeStation won’t meet that need. I would strongly advise considering your priorities and, where necessary, verifying any updates with support before attempting any transfers.
