When I raised concerns with IG Group's customer service department, they cited a compliance review and asked me to wait patiently. I did not believe my account had any issues, and I had not received any inquiries from IG regarding my account. Naturally, I was willing to cooperate with any requests. However, I was left waiting indefinitely. After one month of waiting, on December 3, 2025, I received the following email: The relevant department had deducted a substantial amount of $271,373.40 from my account balance (currently standing at -$163,164.70). According to IG's email, I had violated the Customer Agreement, and my orders were deemed trading errors. They deducted all trading profits and volume rebates accrued since October 21, 2025, on that same day. Request: Return all deducted funds and allow me to withdraw my funds.

The IG platform is regulated by strict authorities such as the UK FCA and the Australian ASIC. It has a well-established fund segregation system and high security. I have been using it for a long time without encountering any financial risks. The platform covers a wide range of products including Forex, stock indices, and commodities, meeting diverse investment needs. The trading system is stable, with better slippage control than most platforms. In particular, the professional tools and market analysis resources are significantly helpful for experienced traders. In the "Swiss Franc Black Swan" event in 2015, IG prioritized managing its own risks, resulting in significant losses due to delayed customer stop-loss orders. Although it was compliant, it exposed conflicts of interest and caused a trust crisis. IG is suitable for long-term investors who prioritize compliance and security, especially for users familiar with the international market. However, it may pose obstacles for high-frequency traders or retail traders who rely on MT4, due to technical issues and high costs. Nice platform, but the customer service is genuinely shocking for such a large company. I've had multiple emails get ignored, and they refuse to make small changes to your account which I know they have the ability to make (from years working in the SB/CFD industry). They have outsourced customer service and the level of care is awful.
