Based on my own experience as a forex trader and after a thorough review of Pocket Trade’s available profile, I have significant reservations about their transparency, especially regarding spreads. There is no mention of whether Pocket Trade provides fixed or variable spreads. The lack of this basic information is itself concerning because, in my years of trading, reputable brokers are usually upfront about such key trading conditions. More reputable brokers with proper oversight always disclose their spread structure and behaviour during volatile events, since this critically affects trading costs. From what I can see, Pocket Trade operates without valid regulatory information and is flagged with a high potential risk. In situations of major news events or increased market volatility, spreads with unregulated or low-transparency brokers can widen dramatically, sometimes unpredictably so. If a broker does not clearly state whether they offer fixed or variable spreads, I treat it with caution, as this uncertainty exposes traders to potentially sharp trading costs precisely when stable conditions matter most. For me, knowing a broker’s approach to spreads during volatility is essential for managing risk and cost, and if a broker is not clear about this, I typically would not trust them with my trading capital.
