Is IQM CAPITAL regulated?
IQM CAPITAL is not regulated, despite claiming to be under regulation by Saint Lucia. As an unregulated broker, it does not offer the same level of protection as a regulated one, which is a significant risk for traders. Regulation is key in ensuring that a broker adheres to strict standards of operation, safeguarding clients' funds, and providing transparency in business dealings. In my view, this is a major downside, as it leaves traders vulnerable to issues like potential fraud, difficulty withdrawing funds, or disputes regarding platform operations. An unregulated broker, while sometimes offering higher leverage and lower spreads, is not something I’d personally trust with large amounts of money. Regulatory bodies, such as those in the UK or Australia, provide investors with assurances that brokers are required to maintain minimum capital and practice fair conduct. Without such protection, I would always err on the side of caution and be wary of the risks involved in trading with an unregulated platform.
