Purpose

The UAE foreign exchange market is an emerging offshore forex trading market that gradually developed in the 1990s. Leveraging Dubai's geographical advantage as a financial hub in the Middle East, it has attracted a large number of licensed forex brokers, with a mature regulatory system and high cross-border trading activity. It is a core forex trading hub radiating across the entire MENA region. To help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operating conditions of forex dealers in the region, the on-site inspection team went to Dubai, UAE for a field visit.

Process

This time, the inspection team went to the UAE as planned to conduct an on-site visit to forex broker SMC. According to public information, its office address is 2404, One Lake Plaza Tower, Cluster T Jumeirah Lake Towers P.O. Box 117210, Dubai, U.A.E.

A professional and experienced on-site inspection team, with a sense of mission to strictly protect investors' interests, traveled to Dubai, UAE according to a well-planned itinerary. Based on the above information, they conducted an on-site visit to the broker SMC.

The target area of this visit was the well-known Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) business district in Dubai. The team went directly to the marked One Lake Plaza Tower to conduct an on-site verification of the broker SMC claiming to be located at this address.

The team arrived smoothly at the area where One Lake Plaza Tower is located. This location is in the core financial and commercial hub of Dubai, with a very prosperous surrounding environment and a strong business atmosphere. The metro station is right next to the building, making commuting very convenient; it is a locally recognized high-end business office cluster. No signs related to SMC were found on the exterior of the building, but the complete panoramic view of the building could be clearly photographed and recorded.

The team successfully entered the building lobby, stated their purpose to the lobby security and staff, and after simple information registration and communication, obtained permission to move around in the lobby area. The building did not have a company directory covering all floors, and no brand logo of SMC was seen in the public areas outside or inside the building.

When attempting to go to the target office area on the 24th floor, due to the building's strict security management, visitors without prior appointments could not take the authorized elevator to reach specific floors. Therefore, it was not possible to confirm the specific location of SMC on the 24th floor, nor was it possible to enter the company's interior. This visit confirmed that the premises are not a shared office, and it was also impossible to take photos of SMC's front desk or its logo.

After inquiring with the building's front desk staff about SMC, the front desk clearly stated that the broker is indeed registered in this building. However, due to internal corporate management requirements, non-appointed visitors are not allowed to enter the office area, so the internal office environment could not be observed. The overall positioning of the venue fully matches the claimed positioning of a luxury office building in Dubai's high-end business district.

Therefore, after the on-site inspection, it is confirmed that the broker SMC exists at the above address.

Conclusion

As planned, the on-site inspectors went to the UAE to conduct a field visit to the forex broker SMC. At its publicly displayed business address, although the company name or other signs of the broker were not directly visible in the public area, the building staff confirmed that the entity is indeed located there, indicating that the broker has a genuine business premises. Investors should make their choice after comprehensive consideration.
