A Visit to Spreadco in the UK - Office Unconfirmed
DangerUnited Kingdom

Reason for this visit

The UK forex market stands as one of the largest globally and the dominant hub in Europe, with regulatory oversight primarily managed by the UK‘s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). As the governing body for financial services and markets, the FCA ensures market fairness, transparency, and stability, earning global recognition as a premier regulatory authority. Despite Brexit’s economic repercussions, the UK forex market maintains a positive outlook. The FCA‘s stringent oversight solidifies the UK’s position as a leading forex trading center, attracting growing numbers of investors and institutions while fostering market vitality and expansion. Many forex brokers actively pursue FCA licensing as a mark of prestige and a gateway to expanding their UK market presence. To provide investors and industry professionals with deeper insights into UK forex brokers, WikiFX survey team will conduct on-site visits to local companies.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to London in the UK to visit forex broker Spreadco as planned according to its regulatory address that 22 Bruton Street, London, W1J 6QE.

A seasoned and professional inspection team, committed to safeguarding investor interests, conducted a meticulously planned on-site verification of the prominent forex broker Spreadco at 22 Bruton Street, London.

The target address is located on Bruton Street in Mayfair, Londons core commercial district. To the north lies an upscale shopping area, surrounded by luxury brand boutiques, Michelin-starred restaurants, and five-star hotels, making it a quintessential bustling business hub. The location offers exceptional transport convenience, with Green Park, Bond Street, Oxford Circus, and Piccadilly tube stations all within a 10-minute walking distance, providing superior commuting conditions. Despite heavy foot traffic in the area, the immediate surroundings of the target building appear relatively ordinary, with no prominent signage or advertising boards for guidance.

Upon arrival, the investigators observed that the building features a traditional British architectural style, with no visible company name, logo, or any external signage related to “Spread Co.” Access to the building requires a remote security system, but the public directory (reception board) in the lobby does not list “Spread Co.”, preventing the team from contacting internal personnel for entry. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to ring the intercom, it was confirmed that the company had no designated visitor access in the public area. Additionally, the lobby lacks any corporate logos or floor directories, making it impossible to identify the exact office floor or room number.
