Reasons for Field Survey

Hong Kong, being an international financial center, is home to one of the most significant forex markets globally. Characterized by high internationalization, active trading, and strict regulation, it holds a pivotal position in global forex trading. To assist investors in gaining a comprehensive and precise understanding of forex brokers in this region, the surveyors conducted field surveys in Hong Kong.

Field Survey Process

The field survey team planned to visit the broker, Exco, in Hong Kong as scheduled. According to public information, their office is situated at Hong Kong Tower, 8-12 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, but no specific floor or room number was provided.

With a responsible and rigorous approach, our professional survey team launched the investigation based on the aforementioned address.

The surveyors arrived at Hong Kong Tower in the Wan Chai area. Considering the “non-existent” status indicated from the information and the actual on-site visit, the office park and street environment seemed average even though the surrounding area presented a strong commercial atmosphere and convenient transportation. The surveyors were able to capture a clear panoramic view of the building, however, they could not find any signage for Exco.

The surveyors successfully entered the building lobby, which had all the basic characteristics of a commercial building. However, when examining the lobby directory, no company name for Exco could be found, hence there was no guidance available to the company's location.

Due to the absence of specific floor and room numbers, the survey team could not identify and confirm any specific location. Upon inquiring with the building management, they learned that they had never heard of the company Exco, further affirming that Exco does not operate in this building. As a result, the surveyors couldn't enter the company premises, and naturally, couldn't capture any images of the reception area or its logo. This confirmed that the locale wasn't a co-working space, which further validates that Exco doesn't conduct actual business here.

   Therefore, the field survey confirmed that the broker Exco does not have a real place of business.

   The surveyors visited the Forex broker Exco as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
