Inspection Reason

The inspection team continued its field investigation scheme as part of its efforts in examining authenticity and finding out the black sheep within the forex industry. For this session, they came to Malaysia to visit a broker named Ortega Capital. 

Office

According to regulatory information, Ortega Capital’s office in Malaysia is at Suite B01, Lot 6, 1st Floor, SU3104, Jalan Tun Mustapha, 87007 Labuan F.T. A team is sent to this place for a field visit. 

The survey staff found the office building indicated by the regulatory address.  

The building is near some auto 4S shops and some distance away from the city centre.

The surveyors entered the building and found that all the rooms on the ground floor were locked. Not giving up, the surveyors then went round and searched through from floor to floor, but could not find a single company. With rooms on each floor closed, the surveyors speculated that there was no Ortega Capital’s office in the building at all.

Conclusion

A field investigation did not find the physical presence of Ortega Capital. Investors are advised to resort to their good judgement after consulting the said above.
