A Visit to Troy in Turkey – No Office Found

Reasons for Field Survey

Turkey's foreign exchange market is highly active, with no foreign exchange controls. Residents can freely hold foreign currency and remit funds in and out without restrictions. In recent years, investor interest in Turkish forex trading has grown, attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, the field research team conducted a field visit to Turkey.

Field Survey Process

This time, the inspection team traveled to Istanbul as planned to inspect the trading company Troy. Its publicly listed address is İstanbul Dünya Ticaret Merkezi (Istabul World Trade Center), A3 Blok No: 193 Yeşilköy, 34830 Bakırköy, İstanbul / TÜRKİYE.

The professional inspection team, maintaining a rigorous inspection approach and following preliminary route planning and address confirmation, accurately arrived at the publicly listed address (No. 193) to conduct on-site inspections.

The inspection team first observed the target area and captured panoramic photos of the building from the outside, revealing no signs of the target company's business operations. While inspecting the building's exterior, the inspection team observed a sign, but no Troy name or logo.

The inspection team then successfully entered the company's lobby through the World Trade Center's public entrance. However, the inspection team also failed to observe the trading company's logo in the lobby or inside the building, initially raising doubts about the address's connection to the trading company.

With access information provided by the lobby receptionist, the surveyors successfully reached the specific floor marked at the target address and confirmed the location of Unit 193. However, upon arrival, they discovered that the unit was occupied by another organization, with no trace of Troy's office. To further verify, the surveyors contacted the lobby receptionist and floor management, who both confirmed that they had no record of Troy's presence at the address. This directly disproved Troy's presence at the address.

Without a physical office, the surveyors were unable to enter Unit 193 and were unable to photograph the reception desk or logo. Furthermore, the surveyors found no information about Troy on the official list of resident organizations at the World Trade Center, further confirming that the company did not operate in the core commercial area.

Thus, the survey confirmed that Troy did not exist at the aforementioned address.

Field Survey Summary

The surveyors visited the Troy as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
