Purpose

The foreign exchange market of Hong Kong, China is a mature offshore foreign exchange market that developed in the 1970s. As one of the world's important financial hubs, with advantages such as free capital flows, a comprehensive regulatory system, and internationally aligned financial services, it has attracted a large number of domestic and overseas foreign exchange dealers. In order to help investors or practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operating conditions of foreign exchange dealers in the region, a field inspection team went to Hong Kong, China to conduct an on-site visit.

Process

In this issue, the on-site inspection team went to Hong Kong, China as planned to conduct an on-site visit to the forex broker TigerWit. According to publicly available information, its office address is Office 58, 11/F Admiralty Centre Tower 2, 18 Harcourt Road, Admiralty, Hong Kong.

A professional and experienced on-site inspection team, with a sense of mission to strictly safeguard investors' interests, and according to a meticulous plan, traveled to Hong Kong, China. Conducted an on-site verification of the broker TigerWit claiming to be located at Office 58, 11/F Admiralty Centre Tower 2, 18 Harcourt Road, Admiralty, Hong Kong.

The team successfully arrived at the building, Admiralty Centre Tower 2. The location is in the core business district of Admiralty, Hong Kong, adjacent to the main road Harcourt Road, with complete surrounding commercial facilities and a very strong business atmosphere. The team successfully took a panoramic photo of the building, but found no company signage or information related to TigerWit on the exterior of the building.

The team entered the building lobby, stated their purpose to the security guard, and after a simple information registration, successfully obtained permission to enter the interior of the building.

After the team successfully arrived at the target floor, the 11th floor, they found no obvious signage in the office area of TigerWit throughout the process, nor any corresponding security measures. The floor directory signs on the entire floor did not indicate any information related to the broker at all. As they could not find the corresponding office and had no relevant appointment, the team could not enter the corresponding office area, did not capture the reception desk or the LOGO on the reception desk throughout, and the location was not a shared office either.

The team attempted to find the office unit marked as No. 58, and found that the office area at that location was not open to the public, could not observe the company's internal environment, and did not match the office positioning previously claimed by the broker.

Therefore, after the on-site inspection, it was confirmed that the broker TigerWit does not exist at the above address.

Conclusion

The on-site inspectors went to Hong Kong, China as planned to conduct an on-site visit to forex broker TigerWit. At the business address it publicly displays, they were unable to see the broker's company name or other information. After asking the security guard, they learned that this company was not located at the address, and determined that the broker does not have a genuine business premises. Investors are advised to make their choice after comprehensive consideration.
