Based on my experience evaluating brokers, I-Access does not actually function as a typical forex broker offering ECN or raw spread accounts, and as such, their fee structure differs from what most forex traders might expect. From what I have seen, I-Access focuses on securities, shares, futures, and options trading, rather than forex or commodities. Commission charges are present—such as 0.25% per transaction for Hong Kong securities, and fixed rates like $5 for futures contracts—but there is no indication of commissions being tied to forex lots or the raw/ECN model many in the forex community would look for. For me, the lack of standard forex trading products and account types is a significant factor, especially since account classification (like “ECN” or “raw”) implies certain expectations regarding tight spreads and per-lot commissions. I’ve also observed that I-Access operates without any recognized regulatory oversight, and its previous Hong Kong license was revoked, which further urges caution. In summary, I-Access charges commissions relevant to the specific stock, futures, or options contract rather than per forex lot or under ECN conditions. This lack of forex-specific fee transparency, combined with regulatory gaps, means I would approach this broker very conservatively and be mindful of the potential risks to capital.
