As an independent forex trader with years of experience, I always assess a broker’s credibility and transparency before considering finer details like swap fees. With IFC, I faced immediate concerns. The most important factor for me is regulatory clarity, and IFC is currently unregulated, with warnings about a suspicious regulatory license and a high potential risk highlighted in the broker’s available background. In my trading journey, I’ve learned that without proper regulation, there is limited recourse in cases of dispute or unexpectedly unfavorable trading conditions. When it comes to swap fees specifically, one of my criteria is clear, verifiable documentation. However, in IFC’s publicly available material, I found no transparent or detailed information regarding their swap or overnight fee structure. In contrast, established, well-regulated brokers—such as those headquartered and authorized in Australia—typically publish up-to-date swap rates, making it easy for me to assess and compare overnight costs. This transparency is crucial because hidden or opaque swap charges can erode profitability, especially for swing or position traders like myself who may hold positions overnight or longer. For these reasons, I am unable to directly compare IFC’s swap fees to those of other brokers in any meaningful or trustworthy way. In situations where basic cost structures like swaps are unclear and regulatory assurances are lacking, my approach is extremely conservative: I prefer to avoid brokers like IFC entirely and stick to those who provide full transparency and operate under strict regulatory oversight. This has protected me against unforeseen risks over the course of my trading career and remains the cornerstone of my broker selection process.
