From my experience navigating EXANTE’s offerings, I’ve learned that its platform is self-developed and distinct from the widely used MetaTrader 4 or 5, which are typically favored by traders looking to run Expert Advisors (EAs) for automatic trading. In my own attempts to automate strategies, I found EXANTE does not natively support EAs in the way MetaTrader-based brokers do. This difference is significant: while some traders prize EXANTE’s proprietary system for its breadth of instruments and stability, it can be a practical limitation if your strategy or workflow relies on off-the-shelf or custom EA scripts compatible only with MT4/MT5. This restriction matters because, in automated trading, the direct plugging-in of EAs is often key for strategy testing and execution without manual oversight. On EXANTE, automation is generally possible via their API for more technically skilled users, but this requires advanced programming experience and a different setup process. For me, this necessity to use APIs rather than simple drag-and-drop EAs means a higher barrier to entry for automation. Therefore, if robust EA integration is critical for your trading—particularly if you rely on widely available MT4/MT5 tools—this is something to carefully consider before depositing significant funds, especially given EXANTE’s high minimum deposit requirement. Always align your broker choice with your technical requirements and risk tolerance.
