In my experience as a forex trader who is very cautious about transparency and costs, the fee structure at PNB does not appear to include hidden or undisclosed charges for deposits or withdrawals. Instead, the bank lists its fees quite specifically. For example, when making interbranch withdrawals, there is a clearly stated PHP 200 fee for PHP transactions and a USD 200 fee for US dollar withdrawals. Similarly, USD cash or check deposits across all branches are subject to a posted PHP 100 fee, and domestic interbranch cash deposit fees are transparently laid out, varying by region and transaction size. For ATM transactions, the charges are also precise: using a PNB ATM is free, but using another bank’s ATM previously cost me PHP 15 per withdrawal or PHP 2 for a balance inquiry. International ATM withdrawals have a set range between PHP 150 and PHP 250, and digital transfers like InstaPay or PESONet incur a PHP 20 fee, again with no apparent “surprise” costs after the fact. I have always been careful to verify whether advertised rates match real-world deductions from my account, and at PNB, the deductions matched what was published in their schedule. However, I do note that their overall fee structure can feel complex and may differ depending on the branch or specific service. For any trader, it’s important to double-check the relevant fee table and ask directly before making significant transactions, especially internationally. So far, I haven’t encountered any unannounced deductions, but I remain conservative and always verify beforehand.
