However, I’m cautious about the actual scope of services—Akatsuki specializes mainly in Japanese investment trusts, stocks, and bonds, and presently does not provide forex, commodities, or crypto trading. While I value specialization and local expertise, I prefer the flexibility to diversify across markets, so this limitation is relevant. Another point of caution relates to fee transparency: Akatsuki’s commissions, especially for foreign stocks, can be very high compared to international standards, ranging up to 16.5%. Domestic trading costs also strike me as significant.
