In my experience trading with various brokers, I always emphasize the importance of transparency around spreads and how they respond to market events. With Metaverse Securities, I've noted that the broker focuses on providing access to a broad range of products, mainly through platforms like MetaStock and others tailored more for equity and futures markets, rather than traditional retail forex trading platforms. Unfortunately, specific, detailed information regarding whether their forex spreads are fixed or variable isn’t directly disclosed by the broker. This absence of clear details naturally raises caution for me as a trader, since knowing whether spreads are fixed or floating can have significant implications for order execution, especially during volatile periods. Given the broker’s structure, platform choices, and regulated but reportedly exceeded scope, my conservative assumption would be that spreads are at least partially variable—most institutions in similar regulatory and platform environments operate on variable spreads. In practice, I have found that during high-impact news events or periods of market turbulence, variable spreads can widen considerably. This can erode trading profitability or even impact pending orders and stops. Because of these factors and the limited transparency, I would personally approach trading news releases or major market-moving events with extra caution, for fear of unfavorable and unpredictable spread fluctuations. For me, clarity and detailed breakdowns of trading conditions are essential to managing risk, so this gray area makes me wary.
