Having traded independently for years, I always pay close attention to a broker’s available payment options, as this strongly affects convenience and security. With Shikoku, my review process showed that deposit and withdrawal options are closely tied to traditional banking methods. Specifically, the only payment route noted is bank transfers, which are processed within 24 hours according to the official information. Bank transfer fees can range from zero up to JPY 4,000 per transaction. I found no mention of support for alternative payment options like credit cards, PayPal, Skrill, or cryptocurrencies. For me, this limitation is noteworthy. Relying solely on bank transfers might feel cumbersome, especially for traders outside Japan or for those who prefer faster, lower-fee e-wallets and card payments. The absence of contemporary payment systems suggests Shikoku places more emphasis on regulatory compliance and conventional finance methods, potentially appealing to investors who value stability over speed. While being regulated by Japan’s FSA does provide some degree of operational confidence, the lack of flexible, modern deposit methods means I would personally approach fund transfers with extra caution and factor in additional time for settling deposits or withdrawals. For traders accustomed to a broader menu of payment tools, this could be a practical drawback.
