Without regulation, there is no guarantee that customer funds are properly safeguarded, and there is limited recourse for traders in case of disputes. Additionally, the platform does not offer demo accounts or Islamic (swap-free) accounts, which can be a limitation for certain types of traders. From my perspective, this lack of a demo account is a significant drawback, especially for beginner traders who want to practice their trading strategies before risking real capital. Moreover, the mobile-only platform, while convenient for retail clients, may not suit more advanced traders who are used to platforms like MT4 or MT5. The lack of these tools could make it difficult to execute more complex strategies or manage multiple trades simultaneously. While BTG Pactual offers excellent features for long-term investors, active traders may find the platform’s offerings too basic.
